Dr. Andri Christodoulou is a molecular cell biologist who has been trained at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany, in the laboratory of Prof. Iain. W. Mattaj (former Director General of the EMBL), initially funded by a postdoctoral fellowship for two years by the European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO Long-Term Fellowship), and then, via a post-doctoral researcher contract from the EMBL. In the following period 2012-2019 she was a post-doctoral associate in Prof. Niovi Santama’s laboratory at the University of Cyprus, and in 2019 she joined the lab of Dr Paris Skourides. She is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry, University of Athens and she received her PhD from the University of Cyprus. During her Ph.D. she has received an EMBO Short-Term Fellowship and a doctoral studentship by A.G. Leventis Foundation (France). Dr A. Christodoulou has published eight original scientific articles in competitive international peer reviewed Journals, such as the Journal of Cell Science (3X), Cellular and Molecular Life Science (2X), Small GTPase and Cell Communication and Signaling (1X).

Her research interests mainly focus in understanding the role of ER-transmembrane proteins on endoplasmic reticulum (ER) morphogenesis and function.
